"Dogwood Blossom" - a vertical watercolor print

I grew up with a Dogwood tree in my front yard and have so many memories of that tree throughout the seasons over the years. But did you know that what we see as a Dogwood flower isn’t a flower at all? The four petal-like bracts that catch our eye are actually modified leaves designed to attract pollinating insects. The actual flower is found in the center of the four bracts. Dogwood flowers symbolize strength because although the tree and flowers seem delicate, they can withstand pretty harsh weather conditions. And due to their cross-like shape, they have a spiritual connection to the Christian faith and the story of the resurrection. And in Victorian times, it is said that a suitor might give a dogwood flower sprig to a woman he liked. If she accepted it, she had mutual feelings; but if she returned it, it was a polite sign of disinterest.

To what locations do you ship? We currently ship within the United States only.

With whom do you ship? We ship with USPS and use Priority Mail (usually 1-3 days) which provides quick service and tracking. Please note that we have no control over the shipping time and rely on the USPS to get the shipment safely to you.

What is your turn around time? Our standard turnaround time for processing, printing, and packaging is 7-10 business days plus shipping time, so you should receive your order within 2-3 weeks from placement. The number of orders received will determine how quickly the processing, printing, and packaging can occur.

What if I need my order quickly? Please contact us directly at hello@mamaduckart.com, so we can try to accommodate your request. An expedite fee and/or additional shipping charges will apply.
